TAKE PART IN A MAJOR OUTDOOR COMMUNITY PERFORMANCE

Whatever your age and experience, this will be a memorable opportunity to work together with inspiring professional artists to create and perform in a unique outdoor promenade performance with giant hand-crafted lanterns in the festival of light, Sharrow Lantern Carnival, 10 YEAR Anniversary, Sheffield.

Carnival Performance Sunday 13 April, 7:30pm
Mount Pleasant Park to Sheffield General Cemetery

Regular weekly rehearsals will start week commencing Mon 10th March – 11th April and will be on Tuesday and Friday evenings (time tbc).

Final group rehearsals will take place on Sunday 6th Apr 5-7pm & Saturday 12th Apr 12-2pm (time tbc)

Local artists, Nisha Lall, Tara Baker and Sarah Hobson are looking for people aged from 11yrs – 60+ who would enjoy the chance to perform in an unusual setting and in close proximity to the audience. You would become part of a community of dancers and performers, creating, rehearsing and performing together. You would need to be able to commit fully to the rehearsal and performance dates.

Although the most important requirement for the carnival is to love moving and dancing, it would be useful, though not essential – if participants have had some experience of dance, movement or performing in public.

If you are interested in being part of the Sharrow Lantern Carnival

10 Year Anniversary please complete the attached short form and email Tara Baker at thedancenetworksheffield
